Clint's Wish: One Last Visit

Clint, from Nova Scotia, received the heartbreaking news that his cancer was incurable. Facing limited time, he turned to Angels Anonymous Connection with a deeply personal wish — to return to the water and find peace through fishing.

Fishing had always been Clint’s refuge — a place of quiet, reflection, and solace. After a lifetime spent caring for others, this journey became an opportunity to care for himself. In his own words, he longed to “slow down, work with Mother Nature, quiet the soul, and just be one with the water and fish.”

Raised in a religious home, Clint’s life had taken him on many paths. As he approached the end of his life, he felt drawn back to stillness and spiritual connection. For him, the river had always been a place of prayer.

With his savings depleted from medical treatments and unable to work, Clint humbly asked for help to make one final trip. His dream was to travel with his wife — truck and trailer in tow — from their home in Nova Scotia to Happy Valley–Goose Bay, Labrador, stopping along the way at the lakes and rivers that called to him.

Clint completed his journey surrounded by nature and those he loved. Although the fishing wasn’t always plentiful, what mattered most was the time — reconnecting with a cherished friend, sharing quiet mornings by the water, and embracing the beauty of the landscape around him.

The trip gave Clint exactly what he had hoped for: moments of peace, reflection, and togetherness.

We are honoured to have helped make this journey possible and to have supported Clint as he sought comfort in the places that meant the most to him.
