Carol's Wish: Last Meal Together

Facing advanced pancreatic cancer, Carol knew her time was limited. As she approached the end of her life, she wanted to create one final meaningful moment with the people she loved most.

Carol had been approved for MAID and hoped to gather her family for a farewell dinner — a simple evening together, filled with conversation, laughter, and love.

Distance made that wish feel out of reach. Her sisters lived across the country, and travel was not possible without support. Through Angels Anonymous Connection, they were able to come home.

At The Keg Skyview, Carol was surrounded by her husband, her children, and her sisters for an evening marked by warmth and compassion. The team at The Keg went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled with care. From the atmosphere to the attentive service, they helped create a space where Carol and her family could focus entirely on being together.

We are deeply grateful to The Keg Skyview for their generosity and for helping make this evening so meaningful.

Shortly after, Carol passed peacefully, surrounded by the family she had gathered around her table.

We are honoured to have helped make her final wish possible — a moment of dignity, love, and shared memory that her family will carry forward.
